Come and discover our organic wines, in bottles or fountains, at the Aups cellar next to Intermarché.
The cooperative cellar of Correns "Vignerons de Correns" was born in 1930, it has thirty member winegrowers and cultivates 180 hectares of vines.
The terroir: Its territory stretches from the Argens valley, through the outskirts of the village, to the narrower plateaus near the Bessillon. This mountain has a height of 813 m with limestone rocks dating back to the Jurassic period. Its name comes from "bessoun" which means in "twins" (it has indeed a "brother", the "petit Bessillon", further west which culminates at 669 meters).
The limestone tufa plots around the village provide the most beautiful vintages, as they benefit from a microclimate at the foot of the Bessillon, with very cool nights and a well-stocked hydrographic network, rich in springs, which feed the Argens.
The clay-limestone plots along the riverside, like the more stony hillsides, show real typicities that allow for a variety of blends and extend the range of wines.
Vinification: The 180 ha of the vineyard are planted on a late soil rather favourable to the production of white wine. Today, in addition to the 100% of the vineyard developed in organic agriculture, 20% are biodynamic. If the Vignerons de Correns are invested in all three colors, a place of choice is given to the white wine of Correns of all time recognized.
