Vue sur le château - Château de Taulane

Château of Taulane

LA MARTRE

It was built in 1769 by Louis-Auguste de Lyle-Taulanne, grand master of the prison of Toulon. He built this house by convicts.

The woods of the frame come, among others, warehouses of the Arsenal of Toulon. They were initially devolved to the construction of the ships of the Royal Fleet. It is a long two-storey building, pierced by eleven windows, whose facade is scarcely marked by jutting of three forequarters. On the first floor of the central front, three large semi-circular windows dominate on a balcony decorated with a wrought iron gate of the 18th century.
This beautiful building of classic style, recently restored, is today a superb 4 * hotel, with golf course, spa, etc.
