A whole Sunday dedicated to the black diamond of the Haut-Var on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of this festival.
Throughout the day:
- Demonstrations and culinary tastings around the truffle by the chefs of the International Club Toques Blanches section Côte d'Azur.
For the culinary workshops, registration is required in advance at the Maison de la Truffe d'Aups on site or by phone at 07.49.95.46.42 - 7€ per person and workshop. Attention, places are limited.
- Market with fresh truffle, gourmet market around the truffle and local products.
- Free visit of the Museum of the House of the truffle from 10h to 16h.
Detailed program:
9h45-10h15: Provencal dances Lou Pebre D'aï.
10:15: Opening of the 32nd Black Truffle Festival in Aups. Speech by the president of the trade union of truffles and the mayor. Opening of the Terroir Market and restaurant area: sale of take-away dishes or to be consumed on site.
10h-10h45: Demonstration and culinary tasting: n° 1: Pithiviers of scallops with truffle by the Toques Blanches (7 € per person, prior registration at the Maison de la Truffe d'Aups).
10h-16h: Free visit of the museum space of the House of the Truffle (paying: 3.5 € per adult, 9 € family 2 adults + 2 children - 18 years). Entry limited to 25 people per hour, each beginning of the hour: 10h, 11h, 12h, 13h, 14h, 15h and 16h. Visit time limited to 1h.
11h: Cavage demonstration
11h -11h45: Demonstration and culinary tasting no. 2: Raviole végétal au truffle by the Toques Blanches (7€ per person, prior registration at the Maison de la Truffe d'Aups).
11h: Mass at the Collegiate Church of Saint Pancras.
From 11.30 am: truffle meals organized by the restaurants of Aupsois, including our partners the Grand Hôtel (tel 04.94.70.10.82), the St Marc (04.94.70.06.08), and the Jas de Majastre in Bauduen (tel 04.94.70.05.12). Reservation recommended directly with the restaurateurs.
Catering on the Place Bidouré to be enjoyed on site, table and chairs installed next to the fountain, forecourt of town hall, or take away (without reservation).
On reservation and payable in advance to the Toques Blanches (tel 06.31.72.83.49) menu all truffle at the Cultural Center of Aups.
12h-12h30: Blessing of the truffle farmers and dogs on the forecourt of the Collegiate Church St Pancrace.
12.30-13.00: Auction of the most beautiful truffles on the market.
15h: Cavage demonstration and game of initiation to the hunt for truffles.
16h: Conference on truffles by M. BENARD Jean-Luc, a nursery specialist in truffle plans. In the presence of Madame Eglantine Rocchia who will present her father’s book - great lover of truffles - "Éloge du truffe", JM Rocchia, Acte Sud. - free without reservation
